Advertising Policy for members |

| Advertisements Norms to be followed by FFECI members: |
| The advertising rules are formulated to protect the legitimate rights of prospective students, agents and institutes and to enable advertisements to pay a positive role in marketing overseas education and institutes. |
|
| All FFECI members will abide by these rules. Strict disciplinary action will be taken where an advertisement is published in violation of this Advertising policy. |
|
- Member’s should advertise only institutes:
- They are authorized to represent and with whom they have a written agency agreement.
- Prior permissions for advertisements should be obtained from each of the respective institutes before they advertise those institutes or use their logos
- All advertisements should be responsive and accountable to the clients/students/ institutes
- Members may not engage in unfair competition in any form in their advertising with other agents or institutes
- Any advertisements should not contain any false or misleading information and shall not mislead any student. All members should follow principles of fairness, honesty and credibility.
- All advertisements shall be true to the facts, lawful and in compliance with both general Indian laws and Immigration laws of that particular country.
- Any advertisement shall not involve any of the following:
- Using words which guaranteed jobs, working, employment and any references to permanent residence regulations should be in accordance to Immigration Regulations which allows reference to the website.
- Should not guarantee approval of visas or use words such as ‘’Guarantee Visa”
- Should not offer discounts in fee and offer incentives like gifts, free air tickets, money backs and free accommodation.
- Should only Offer and advertise ‘Scholarships’ which are genuine and offered by Educational Provider or Government body. The agent should obtain written permission from the educational provider or Government body to advertise such claims.
In Case a Private Consultant / Charitable Trust is offering his own scholarships then the following details may be provided to FFECI :
- Criteria
- Purpose of Scholarship
- Company / Organisation background that is offering scholarships
- Evidence of available funds for scholarships / Income and other supporting details of the organization providing scholarships
- Board Resolution from the owners / directors of the organization offering scholarships
- Prior permission from FFECI Governing body and Special members should be taken before any such claims
