Advice to Students wanting to study abroad

Obtaining your student visa is not always easy and making your application will take several weeks, often much longer. There are thousands of prospective students across the world applying for visas to come to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK or USA as a student so visa offices are very busy and getting busier every year. We strongly recommend, therefore, that you apply for your visa well in advance of your course start date and follow all the advice and guidance offered in this web page.

  • Your unconditional offer letter and your visa letter from the Institute
  • Neat Photocopies of all the relevant academic qualifications/educational certificates that you have.
  • Your IELTS/TOEFL (or other recognized English language test) certificate (if required).
  • Bank statements, pay slips or other evidence to show that you can pay for your stay and your course of studies abroad (remember to account for course fees and living expenses, please only submit the real and genuine documents)

Levels of fraud are increasing so all your documents will be very carefully examined. Make sure that you take original papers to your visa interview and that they are clear and complete.

Students will also be expected to talk knowledgeably about the course to which you are applying, and demonstrate their motivation for the study of the course – why do you want to study the course, what skills and knowledge do you hope to gain, and what are your longer term career aspirations

Warning :  Avoid Scams and Fraud documents. Stay away from doggy agencies

Students should make sure the information given on their visa application form is correct; the documents they provide to support their application are not forged; passport has not been altered and does not contain false stamps or visas. Students should check the information they provide is correct and legitimate. Students can report migration or visa fraud, including people who produce or provide false documents; people smuggling or corruption in the visa process to the nearest mission - please see the 'LINKS' section on this website. The information students provide will be kept confidential.

If a student is found to have submitted fraudulent documents then this application will be dealt very severely. In may cases strict action will also be initiated against the students.

Recently the government of Australia has introducing stricter screening to scrutinize the ability of students to finance their livelihood in Australia. Students from certain countries like India, Mauritius, Brazil, Zimbabwe and Pakistan will be subject to this higher level screening of their applications. They will need to take part in face to face interviews and will no longer be able to rely 100% on online visa applications.

Genuine international students remain welcome to Australia. The Government wants genuine students to come to Australia but will not tolerate visa fraud. There must be a legitimate intention to study.
