Parents & Students are often confused about which country, which institution or degree course to opt for. Choosing the right course or the institution can be quite puzzling. Selecting the right course and the right institution is the most important decision in any student's life and the right decision taken at the right time can shape the students career and promise a bright and prosperous future.

The Applications & Admission Procedures can be really stressful to parents as well as students, but having someone who understands and knows the procedure is a great help during that time.

As globalization continues to develop and shape our lives, it has become quite apparent that survival in the 21st century will require individuals to face the reality of a world that is growing smaller everyday

FFECI understands that all individuals and organizations working within the overseas study industry have an important social mission as well as a great amount of responsibility. The main objective of FFECI is to takes on a supportive role within the industry by responsibly gathering diverse members of the study abroad community in order to find solutions to study abroad related issues and problems. Simultaneously, FFECI will also try and educates students, education consultants/agents and foreign institute’s about the industry and creates a dependable study abroad environment by building strong mutual relationships between member organizations, educational organizations both in India and abroad, Indian government institutions, and foreign governments. Our aim is to provide abundant information, training and research on study abroad topics for agents, students, educators and government & non-governmental organizations in India. Furthermore, through advising consumers on overseas study related issues, FFECI hopes to contribute to the cultivation of a more international society.

All FFECI members agree to abide and follow the “Principles of Good Practice” which ensures that they provide realistic and accurate information to students about the course fee, living expenses, part time jobs while studying and other related issues. FFECI members are to serve students honestly and fairly, provide them with unbiased non commercial information and to refer students to other agents if appropriate. FFECI members agree to charge only a prescribed fee towards their counselling and courier charges which is not more than at Rs.12,000/-

We do try to ensure that all information provided on this website and by FFECI members is accurate, however due to the changing dynamics of the education industry; we do advise that you confirm the same with appropriate sources.

Tips for Choosing the Right Consultant
Choosing the right education consultant is very important. FFECI suggests that you discuss the following topics with the potential consultant and referral source before you make a decision:

  1. QUALIFICATION & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP: The academic background and experience of the consultant plays an important role. Its always recommended that the consultant is a member of some professional organisation like NZ Specialist, UK Border Trusted Partner, Singapore Specialist etc

  2. ETHICS: The consultant should be straight forward in their communication and professional in their interaction with students. They should not guarantee any admissions, visas or financial aid. In may cases education consultants are paid by the foreign institute and they should not charge extra fee except for the courier, counseling and stationary. Currently many reputed agents in India charge less than Rs 12,000/-. The consultant should further maintain strict confidentiality of all information submitted by the student.

  3.  REPUTATION: The consultant should be prepared to give any references on request. Its recommended that Parents should seek referrals from clients who are satisfied with the services provided by the consultant

  4. ATTENTION: The consultant should be ready to give personalised service to the clients. Every students need is different and should be treated from a individual prospective. The  and should maintain confidentiality of all the documents submitted

  5. REPRESENTATION: Its always advisable to check with the institutes if the consultant represents that institute before you proceed with taking his services

  6. The consultant should be able to give you advice and suggestions on the following topics:
    • Choosing the Right Course
    • Which standardised test to take and when
    • Guide you with basic information on standardised tests
    • Choosing the education institute abroad which suits your budgets, education background and goals
    • Give accurate information on fee and living expenses in a foreign country
    • Information on student part time jobs and visa conditions
    • Career Guidance
    • Information about opportunities after completing the course
    • Visa requirements and application procedures
    • Provide assistance & information on pre-departure issues, accommodation and visa conditions in the foreign country
    • Should provide details about Indian organisations in that country which can help the student in case of any serious issue
