Principles of Good Practice
  1. To provide ethical and professional consultancy service and advice to students, parents and education institutes abroad
  2. To check the reputation and status of the overseas institute before promoting them
  3. Provide accurate and realistic counseling to prospective students who are wishing to study overseas, maintain high standards and must demonstrate attributes and qualities to competently service the needs of students and parents
  4. Provide accurate information on the total finances required for studying abroad including tuition fee, insurance, living costs and travel costs etc.
  5. Provide information on employment ability and availability to part-time work.
  6. Provide information on the limited number of scholarships and the criteria to obtain them.
  7. Members should use only authorized material (including logos) from education institutes they represent and with whom they have concluded a written agency agreement
  8. Actively seek and promote professional; development and keep themselves and their staff informed of current changes and developments in their fields
  9. To take full responsibility for all the act do any representatives , sub agency, franchise or any such arrangement of the agency
  10. Advertise in ethical manner and follow the “FFECI Advertising Policy” set by the Association
  11. Members should have transparent relationship with institutes, organizations and students without conflict of interest
  12. Serve with honesty and integrity the overseas institutes they represent and disclose all information about the institute to the student including the size of the institutes , geographical location, and its credentials
  13. Members should conduct themselves in a transparent manner where only truthful claims must be made and both institutes and students should be served in a unbiased manner
  14. Members should carry the pre & post enrolment services with students and their families categorized by the following :
    • Have a written contract (formal agreement) with transparent and upfront disclosure of services and related fee and indicate
    • Maintain Confidentiality of students records, notes and client information and disclose any information only with a written consent from student to any third party on a need to know basis
    • The members should keep a recent (6 months) student or client satisfaction record on file for purpose of external reviews
    • Members must have an internal mechanism to process complaints and make necessary changes in the nature of recruiting services as needed
    • Members must have a clear and transparent “REFUND POLICY” visible to its clients
    • Members should conduct pre departure briefing to the students and inform them of all the facts about accommodation, expenses and lifestyle in the city they are enrolled in.
  15. Members must not charge a fee more than Rs.10,000 from the student for their consulting service including visa guidance and courier charges
